Firmness of development on all spheres in customs system of Azerbaijan is ensured
On June 8 the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, customs service Lieutenant-General Aydin Aliyev on the occasion of the completion of the diagnostic investigation received the group leader of the Colombus Programme World Customs Organization Capacity Building Alan Hall and the WCO expert Arja Kasnanen.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev said that it was pleasure to meet the WCO experts again. On the occasion of the completion of the diagnostic investigation congratulated them. He said that he was not inatentive to the implementation of the Colombus Programme. He expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the World Customs Organization for the organization of this kind mission. He hoped that specialists left Azerbaijan, the customs system of our independent republic with pleasant impressions.
The Committee Chairman glancing at the passed development way of the Customs Service of the Independent Azerbaijan in a short time spoke on the role of the customs authorities either in the formation of the customs incomes or in the provision of the economic security. He specially emphasized the implemented measures in the strengthening of the material and technical basis. After the approval of the «State Programme on the development of the Azerbaijan Republic customs system in 2007-2011 years» by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev activities in this direction were considerably intensified, said A. Aliyev. He emphasized that during 2007-2008 years important checkpoints would be reconstructed and purchase of necessary technical-control means were considered. After the completion of the joint project with the United Nations Organization Development Programme we will consider offers of Turkey and Korea, said the Committee Chairman. A.Aliyev emphasized that customs employees will do their best for the provision of the firmness of development on all spheres in the customs system of Azerbaijan. He informed that it is inevitable.
The group leader of the Colombus Programme World Customs Organization Capacity Building Alan Hall expressing his gratitude to the Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev for the warm reception thanked for shown hospitality, attention and care to them during the period of their visit to Azerbaijan. He expressed his satisfaction for the created condition to the normal activity of the diagnostic investigation by all offices and local structures of the State Customs Committee.
The WCO expert Alan Hall giving the primary variant of the prepared account of the diagnostic mission to the SCC Chairman Aydin Aliyev said that the total account will be introduced by the Programme leader.
A wide exchange of opinion on issues of mutual interest was carried out in the prepared account by the diagnostic mission in the meeting as well.
